Beginning her career as a music and festival photographer, LA-based Australian Sarah Bahbah has since forged a strong career in art, advertising and social media.
Working with a range of collaborators, Sarah has honed her retro-in-appearance, current-in-theme style into one that is entirely her own, using her images to tell stories, often in very literal ways. She gained a huge following on Instagram after her series Sex and Takeout went viral, reaching over 30 million users through various platforms and channels. She has since created two seasons of Summer Without a Pool, designed for Instagram distribution, and her latest series For Arabella.
Sarah’s commercial work combines this aesthetic with a unique eye for style and story, bringing campaigns to life in unique locations. With an eye to youth, she is equally adept at both concepts and photography — a collaborator, not simply an executor.
Sarah’s work has been exhibited widely at art fairs and galleries around the world, including Art Basel Miami Beach and Switzerland, and Contemporary Istanbul. She has been nominated as one of the top six digital influencers in photography and travel by Pedestrian TV. And that’s only scratching the surface.
