Michael Gupta is an Australian-Indian director and screenwriter.
Interested in moving, human tales of connection, desire, ambiguity, family, the outsider; regardless of genre or format. Michael is a passionate, detail obsessed storyteller who blends visual style with a strong intuitive approach to performance. Often drawn to stories of outsiders and characters on the fringe, his work is both honest and heightened; joyful and searingly authentic – as he traverses the ambiguities of life.
